IIWFT - Volcom Youth
A new design series mixed with my growing passion in photography.
The latest work in this series puts Volcom up on it's high flying pedestal. This one was FUN to create. I went through a few photos I shot from PV Skatepark and found this great image. This was another fun mix of black and white photography with color design elements. Originally, this piece was used as my application for Volcom. After that, I decided to change up the info a bit and make it work for this series. I drew the Volcom logo by hand and created the other elements in Illustrator. I then brought it into Photoshop for the color overlay.
I created two versions for this project: a cool color scheme and warm color scheme. I feel they both embody SoCal life, however I felt the cool color scheme better embodies the Volcom brand as well as is more pleasing to the eye. I love how funky Volcom work usually is so it was a perfect fit for me. I love high energy art and keeping my own work loose and free. Volcom is just that brand and you can see it from their passed advertisings.

When I find out this guy's name I will be sure to include it as well. For now though, thanks random skater and thank you skateboarding for providing such inspiration.

This was shot my first week or so here in Arizona and my first time out at PV Park. I haven't seen this guy since but when I find this guy again, I will be sure to include his name. For now though, thank you random skater and thank you skateboarding for providing such inspiration.
